Welcome to Peterson Space Force Base, located in Colorado Springs at an elevation of 6,035 feet, sharing runways with the Colorado Springs Airport.

As the headquarters for Space Base Delta 1, Peterson SFB supports 111 mission partners, including NORAD, U.S. Northern Command, U.S. Space Command, and Space Operations Command. Established in 1942 and named in honor of 1st Lt. Edward J. Peterson, the base has a rich history of reactivations and redesignations, reflecting its pivotal role in national defense and space operations.

Renamed Peterson Space Force Base in 2021, it continues to excel in advancing aerospace missions and fostering a dynamic community. Welcome to a place where history and innovation converge to shape the future of space.
