About Us

The Peterson SFB Youth Center operates under the Department of the Air Force Child and Youth Programs. DAFCYP monitors our program through monthly, quarterly, and yearly unannounced inspections of the guidelines set forth through the AFI and programming requirements.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of America provides support and services to military youth on and off installation, helping them access specialized opportunities, cultivate lifelong friendships, and develop the resilience they need to build great futures. BGCA provides a military liaison, to serve as a resource for our Youth Development Professionals, as they implement the Boys and Girls Clubs programming.

The 4-H Military Partnership focuses on positive youth development through providing opportunities for youth to engage in intentional learning experiences. 4-H provides a liaison to serve as a professional connection between military branches and the 4-H organization.

Council of Accreditation’s (COA) standards for child and youth development programs are designed to promote a program’s capacity to provide quality experiences that help children and youth thrive. Accreditation provides a framework to manage resources, offer best practices, and strive for continuous improvement.

The National Alliance for Youth Sports educates, equips, and empowers youth sports leaders, volunteers, and parents so all children can enjoy the lifelong benefits of sports.
