Reading Takes You Everywhere, the DoD’s Summer Reading Program, began Thursday, June 6, and ended with a party on the library lawn on Saturday, July 28, from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The Program at the Peterson AFB Library was a resounding success. A total of 827 people registered.
Registrants were able to track their reading time online at: https://petersonafblibrary.beanstack.org. Digital badges were awarded with every login for children and adults, which automatically entered users to win prize drawings throughout the program. The online site allowed for effortless, efficient, and rewarding participation for all.
The Party was a celebration with a variety of games and activities which engaged the children and their families. Attendees left with bags loaded with goodies. Dion’s generously provided their signature delicious pizza — free to participants. Our event partner, the USO, brought their friends from Freddy’s Frozen Custard.
