Welcome Message From Your School Liaison Program Manager

Welcome to the Peterson Space Force Base School Liaison Office — your one-stop shop for all matters related to K-12 military connected child education!

The School Liaison at Peterson SFB provides information on Colorado Springs school districts, acts as the liaison between the military community and school administrators, provides consultation services regarding school education, and provides transition information on other school districts for military members who are PCS-ing.

The goal of the School Liaison Office is to empower parents to be their child’s best advocate in the education process and to help parents navigate the school system and “level the playing field” for military families by ensuring that military children are given the opportunities to achieve their highest potential at any assigned location.

Please feel free to reach out to School Liaison with any questions or concerns.

STARBASE Academy

DoD STARBASE focuses on elementary students, primarily fifth graders. The goal is to motivate them to explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) as they continue their education. The academies serve students who are historically under-represented in STEM. Students who live in inner cities or rural locations, those who are socio-economically disadvantaged, low in academic performance or have a disability are in the target group. The program encourages students to set goals and achieve them.
