The High Frontier Honor Guard
The High Frontier Honor Guard is a distinguished team from Peterson SFB, Schriever SFB, and Cheyenne Mountain SFS, dedicated to upholding the highest traditions of military service. As representatives of the United States Air Force and Space Force, they perform with precision and respect during ceremonial events, including military funerals, retirements, parades, and other official functions. The Honor Guard embodies discipline, pride, and professionalism, serving as a symbol of honor and respect for our service members, past and present. Their unwavering commitment ensures that the legacy of those who have served is remembered with dignity and reverence.
Military Funeral Honors
The Honor Guard performs dignified and respectful ceremonies to honor deceased service members, including flag folding and presentation, rifle volleys, and playing of “Taps.”
Ceremonial Support
The Honor Guard provides support for various official ceremonies, such as retirements, parades, and special events, ensuring that these occasions are conducted with the highest level of military precision and decorum.
Joining the Honor Guard
Joining the High Frontier Honor Guard offers a unique opportunity to serve in a prestigious role that honors fellow service members by providing the final tribute on behalf of the President of the United States and the U.S. Armed Forces. Covering a vast area across Colorado and western Kansas, the Honor Guard is composed of dedicated Airmen and Guardians who receive intensive training to uphold the highest standards of military bearing and ceremonial duties. Volunteering for the Honor Guard allows you to make a meaningful impact while enhancing your military career through specialized training and service. If interested, work with your chain of command to get involved.
