Smokey Jack Observatory – Private Star Party

Join Outdoor Recreation for a night of stargazing at the Smokey Jack Observatory in Westcliffe, CO a certified International Dark Sky Community. The volunteers at Smokey Jack Observatory will guide us through the night sky on their 14” state of the art telescope, hopefully seeing the Milky Way, Sagittarius, capricornus, and Aquila. Prior to heading to the Observatory, we will have time to do the planet walk in Westcliffe, or you can take the time to grab dinner. This program will be cancelled if weather is poor. Spaces are extremely limited for this program.
COST: $40 per person (includes transportation, the star party is free, so please consider donating to the Observatory).
Location: Meet at Outdoor Recreation.
Cancellation/ Sign up deadline: August 20th
Guidelines: You may register for the Fall programs starting August 15 th . One program registration per participant for the first week registration opens. Starting Aug 22nd , participants may sign up for multiple programs. Please note: all details are subject to change. Sign up in person if you would like to receive the R4R pricing.
