If you’re on base during the show, you might catch some great views from various locations around the area. In fact, you can grab some Flightline Brews and Views on Aug. 17 at the Peak View Park, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.! FSS will have food and beverages for sale. Residents on base may experience traffic congestion around the park from spectators.
Additionally, commuters can expect increased traffic leading up to and during the event. For the safety of performers, the city will temporarily close Powers Boulevard in both directions from Milton E. Proby Parkway to Fontaine Blvd. Aug. 15-18. Road closures will occur Aug. 15, 2-4:45 p.m., and Aug. 16-18, 1-3:45 p.m. Please avoid the area if you are not attending the air show. To view road closures, reference the attached map provided by the Pikes Peak Air Show.
